A trojan horse…

Eric | January 28, 2008

You can probably believe believe how astonished I was to find a three to 4 four meters high trojan horse standing in front of McGill’s McConnell Engineering Building today! It had a huge sticker on it, saying something about Queen’s University Engineering Society. Must have to do with a really old rivalry… Too bad, that I did not bring my camera. By the afternoon it was gone. I wonder who took it home 😉

New photos of my winter vacation

Eric | January 23, 2008

I spent the last few weeks touring through middle Europe. First I visited my friend Christian in Austria. New Year’s Eve I then spent wit my girlfriend and friends in De Haan, Belgium. A week later we went to Gornhausen with my ex fellow students for some yummy wine tasting. I finished off the tour with a visit to Oege de Moor’s Programming tools Group at Oxford, spending my last day in London.

My visit at Oxford University

Eric | January 17, 2008

image How do you know that you are in England? At the latest when you read a sign saying “The milk is to be drunk within tea or coffee and not by the cup!“, I would say 🙂

Wednesday I arrived in Oxford. Oege de Moor had accommodated my in a beautiful guest room in Magdalen College. The room is really unique (especially the bed). There were some books from the 19th century on the shelf! Next morning when I woke up I was greeted (well, not literally) with music from a choir that was exercising downstairs.

Nice place they have here!
